And now it's time to see how I ranked each Warrington player in Saturday's away win at London Broncos...
A big performance from the prop forward, who led the pack well and marked his fine game with the second try of the contest after a powerful run. Got a great offload away to start the move for Goodwin’s try and was absolutely key to the excellent Warrington first-half.
2 - Ben Currie
One of Currie's best games in 2019. Good defensively and was a threat going forward too, with some decent breaks and a brilliant offload to assist Bryson Goodwin's try. Did a decent job at stand off too when he replaced Blake Austin.
3 - Daryl Clark
Another instrumental performance from the league's most consistent player. Passed the ball well and made a few great breaks from dummy-half, as well as assisting Cooper's try with a gorgeous no-look pass. Struggled without him when he was rested late on.
4 - Toby King
Did brilliantly to score his try which ended up being Wire's final score of the afternoon. Great take from Patton's high kick and a lovely dummy to score.
5 - Jack Hughes
Bounced back from last week with probably his best performance of the year. Missed one tackle early on but made up for it with a great powerful try and an all-round solid display.
6 - Blake Austin
At the centre of the attacking play and the drop-off in attacking shape was stark after he left the pitch. We might have won the game but the biggest win from today is Austin coming away unscathed. Great kick to set up the first try and some lovely steps too.
7 - Bryson Goodwin
Very solid performance this. Well-disciplined in defence and a great try after some good footwork. I’m gonna miss this guy.
8 - Tom Lineham
Resilient in defence once again and a good show of alertness to score the game's first try, pouncing on a Kieran Dixon error.
9 - Declan Patton
A largely good performance from Patton, with an assist for Toby King’s try. Six simple goals and a few decent attacking kicks.
10 - Matt Davis
Sound performance at loose forward from Davis, playing at his former home. Lovely assist for Jake Mamo’s try and some good tackles in there too.
11 - Jake Mamo
Very unreliable under the high ball today, knocking on twice, but a good attacking display, with a good try after doing well to stay on his feet, and a neat assist for Hughes too.
12 - Lama Tasi
Easily his best Warrington performance so far, some good carries and tackles, had a meaningful impact on the match.
13 - Jason Clark
A great try-saving tackle late on which left him cold, and a little unlucky to have a try of his own chalked off.
14 - Danny Walker
Looked to have scored with his first touch after a great run from dummy-half, though the referee ruled that he was held up. Good passer of the ball.
15 - Joe Philbin
Some good tackles when he came on and some good carries of the ball. Not heavily involved in the game.
16 - Luther Burrell
Great to see him make his debut though could’ve done with more minutes. Looked at home in the centres and made some good hits, though tired as the game went on.
17 - Josh Charnley
Not a particularly poor performance, just a quiet game for Charnley. Didn’t have any scoring chances apart from an intercept which he couldn’t keep hold of.
It's always our year.
