Team Talk: Leigh Centurions (h)

Warrington are looking to get back to winning ways on Good Friday as they take on newly-promoted Leigh Centurions.

It is exactly the same 21-man-squad that was named for the Castleford game, with Greg Inglis and Matt Davis still not included. Here's my preferred lineup...

Full Back - 17 Matty Ashton
It needs to happen. Get him at full-back, chiming into the line and using his pace to exploit gaps. Ratchford struggled last week and appeared to have lost a bit of pace.

Winger - 2 Tom Lineham
One of few players who didn't do much wrong last week, we could do with some more link-up between him and Toby King this week.

Centre - 4 Toby King
The scorer of Wire's first try in 2021 was the main attacking threat against Castleford and you'd expect him to be the same this week too.

Centre - 1 Stefan Ratchford
He was dreadful at full-back last week, and I've been vocal about wanting him at loose forward long-term. Until Inglis is back, I'd have him at centre.

Winger - 18 Jake Mamo
I don't think Josh Charnley did enough to keep his place - he was dreadful in the first half, so I'd bring Mamo in.

Stand-Off - 6 Blake Austin
If we had more options, I'd be dropping him. But he'll stay in the team, and needs to improve dramatically.

Scrum-Half - 7 Gareth Widdop
Had a few bright moments against Castleford, finding Currie in a gap for the Austin try late on. Need more of that.

Prop - 8 Chris Hill
This could be a battle of the forwards, so hopefully Hill and Cooper will have a bit more support this time out.

Hooker - 9 Daryl Clark
Last week's nonsensical decision to start Danny Walker over Daryl Clark will surely be reversed for the Leigh game.

Prop - 10 Mike Cooper
Didn't really get going last week, we could do with him having a few more offloads, which have been a staple of his game in the last few years.

Second Row - 11 Ben Currie
Need to get his running game back this week. When he can be put through gaps, he's very dangerous.

Second Row - 22 Ellis Robson
I'm not sure why he wasn't involved for the first game but I'd have him back for this one. Jack Hughes was all over the place against Castleford.

Loose Forward - 14 Jason Clark
Joe Philbin clearly isn't a 13, so I'd bring Jason Clark in for a natural loose forward.

Interchange - 13 Joe Philbin
As above. Much better from the bench.

Interchange - 19 Robbie Mulhern
Had a few decent moments from the bench last week.

Interchange - 21 Rob Butler
Need to load the bench with forwards for this game.

Interchange - 16 Danny Walker
Decent hooker, but can't be starting ahead of Clark.

Preferred Lineup: Ashton; Lineham King Ratchford Mamo; Austin Widdop; Hill D. Clark Cooper; Currie Robson; J. Clark. Philbin, Mulhern, Butler, Walker

Predicted Lineup: Ratchford; Lineham King Mamo Charnley; Austin Widdop; Hill D.Clark Cooper; Currie Hughes; J.Clark. Philbin, Mulhern, Walker, Ashton.
