Wire returned to winning ways on Friday night, with a routine victory over Wakefield Trinity. Here are my six major talking points...
1) Star seven
Gareth Widdop in electric form again. He's been Wire's best player all season and was one of few who was reasonable in the Cup defeat last weekend, and continued that form to dominate proceedings here.
2) Positive league form
Despite the atrocious nature of the Cup exit, Wire are going well in the league. That's three wins in a row now and Steve Price's team are pretty much assured of a top six spot already.
3) Charnley back amongst them
After a nightmare day against Castleford at the weekend, Josh Charnley bagged three tries to move himself up to seven for the season, which he probably needed for confidence.
4) Red hot Currie
Another really good display from the second rower. He's getting back to his best now and got another try.
5) A bigger bench
The bench is making a huge difference to the forwards battle this season - Robbie Mulhern and Sitaleki Akauola were very good again.
6) Defensive issues
Still, Wire managed to concede three daft tries to a poor Wakefield side. That defence has got to be sorted before the clash with St Helens next week.
