Wire recorded another victory over arch-rivals Wigan tonight, bouncing back from their defeat to Leeds with an important two points. Here are my six major talking points.
1) Star number six again?
Blake Austin looked something like his old self again tonight. Good support play for his try and much-improved defence.
2) On cloud nine again
The best player on the pitch was Daryl Clark. An exceptional performance from the best hooker in the league.
3) Weird wing
Sitaleki Akauola on the wing, seriously, give it a rest. Why not put Mamo there and Wrench at centre?
4) Scraps
It wasn't the cleanest of games, and Wire had to grind it. But that's exactly what they did.
5) Big game masters
Wins over St Helens, Wigan x2 and Catalans x2 so far this season. Wire are going pretty nicely.
6) Game of halves
Austin/Ratchford both put a shift in tonight. George Williams is available from Sunday, so it will be interesting to see how the team looks then.
